Trivia

  • Note: this section contains spoilers for the game

Skul wasn't always a heroic little skeleton. He was born the son of the First Hero. As his father was constantly busy with his own personal crusades and work for the Carleon Empire, the boy was often left to his own devices. Following the peace treaty of the humans and demons, the boy as playing imaginary hero, adorned in a "shabby cape and broken twig" in the forest and ran into the Demon King on a walk. These two were good friends already and had probably played in this way before, the little hero fighting off the Demon King. The Demon King knew of the boy's unexplainable power, destined to save the whole continent of Harmonia.

The little boy only wanted to become a hero and make his father proud. He would get very angry when anyone (like the Gold Mane Knight Commander) would mock and slander the Hero. This caused him to follow the Commander to the Black Laboratory, ultimately getting caught, injured, chased, and killed by a knight. The knight was quickly punished by the Demon King, who stayed by the boy's side after he died.

Some time later, the boy emerged from death in the form of an injured skeleton. His unimaginable power and determination to become the hero he always wanted to be brought him back to life in the Demon King's Castle. To add to his heroic look, the demon king gave the little skeleton his purple cape and named him Skul.

Through repeated efforts, Skul fought his way through corrupt humans, scary experiments, and fanatics alike to create the peace his father never could. The little boy became the hero he always wanted to be, surpassing even the First Hero.
