The Witch is a shapeshifting master of magic (or meow-gic for the pun-inclined), who serves the Demon King and is instrumental in guiding Skul into greatness. She provides the Item Scroll (the UI where skulls, quintessence, and equipment are displayed.)

She also provides access to the Trait Skill Tree.

Traits can be upgrades with Dark Quartz.

Traits are divided into three(3) categories:

• Skull (Representing Balance Skulls)
• Bone (Representing Power Skulls)
• Spirit (Representing Speed Skulls)

Each category is divided into four(4) tiers:

• Common (10 levels)
• Rare (10 levels)
• Unique (2 levels)
• Legendary (2 levels)

Appearance

• The witch wears a wide brimmed, long pointed purple witch's hat with a gold band, and a long white feather. She wears an fancy purple dress shirt with her clevage and shoulders teased. Around her waist her shirt seems to have a corset styled threads. She has a long curve hugging pink dress. She has gold arm bracers on each wrist. She has red piercing eyes. She has long wavy red hair that drapes down to around her calves. She wields a dark purple staff.
• The witch can also transform into a cat. The cat has same sharp red eyes and wears the same wide brimmed purple witch's hat. In her cat form, she does not wear any clothes and instead has her body covered in red fur in the same shade as her red hair.

Cats are mysterious and unpredictable. I've studied them for fifty years, but I still haven't figured them out.
I even turned myself into a cat to better understand them... So far, the only thing I've learned is that cat food tastes really good.

Ancient magic scrolls lie asleep everywhere across Harmonia. They each contain a great magical power.
I collect such scrolls to study and preserve them. I'm trying to use their powers to benefit us all.
In the past, Carleon never hated us Demons as much as it does now. At worst, people only looked down upon us.
But that disdain grew twisted, and eventually led to several wars.
If it weren't for our current king, who's a pacifist, we wouldn't be living the lives we have now.
And the humans suddenly decided to invade us and break the peace treaty. I don't understand it.
Once, the highest floor of the Demon King Castle was filled to the brim with Senators.
Legend has it that one of the Senators lost his footing and fell, becoming the first of all skeletons.
Dark Quartz grants enormous power to those who use it, but for a price. It eats away at their life force and sanity, destroying them and everyone else around them.
This dangerous stone must be handled with extreme care. Its evil influence immediately encroaches upon anyone within its vicinity if they don't have a strong mind.
You can probably tell, but the Demon King Castle does not look the way it used to.
If the demon kings of the past saw this, they would be angered by how it is...
All races have to join hand hands in order to recover what's left of the Demon King Castle.
The Demon King always wanted peace. He tried to forgive them when they tried to burn down the forests, and even when they were cruel to innocent demons.
Of course I, on the other hand, have not forgiven them.
The foxes normally ostracize all other races. You have to understand that.
Suffering from discrimination, their race was almost annihilated. I think, that is when they stopped trusting any other race than their own.
The race of foxes we know now was probably built out of their own blood.
There was once a person that researched Dark Quartz.
That person was said to be one in a million. A genius mage, one who accomplished feats no others could.
But when the research started crossing the line, the mage destroyed it all and disappeared. No one ever saw the mage again.
Before I entered the Demon King Castle, I experienced many things from all over the continent.
Once I left the home I had grown to love and travelled the world, my thoughts began to open up.
Skul, I suggest that you see what's in the world.
I know it's difficult to leave your home, Skul.
Thankfully, I didn't have a family, which made my decision much easier.
The reason behind leaving home? Haha... Well, guess who it was that crossed that line?

Skul, as you know, the Demon King Castle now is not what it used to be.
If the former king knew, he would turn in his grave.
We Demons must put up a united front and reclaim the Demon King Castle.
Of course, our first priority is rescuing His Majesty.

His Majesty always wanted peace. Even when those ruthless humans burned down our forests and terrorized innocent Demons, he wanted to forgive them.
However, I couldn't bring myself to do it.
We foxes are naturally suspicious of everyone else, and for good reason.
Our ancestors were constantly persecuted and driven to extinction by other tribes. That made them become extremely wary of others.
Over the years, that skepticism has become part of our identity.

Skul, I don't know what you think of the Peddler, but I hold him in high esteem.
Like the others. I used to think the ogres were stupid and only good at fighting.
But he's different. He's more financially adept than any other Demon I know.
Even His Majesty thinks the Peddler can see the future as far as economy is concerned.

The ogre attacked us because of the enemy's black stone that controlled his mind.
I think Carleon is using that stone for military purposes.
As you may have noticed, it's not an ordinary stone, Skul. People who know the stone call it...

That stone holds immense power. If used properly, it can pose a great threat to this Demon King Castle and the rest of Harmonia.
Fortunately for us, the mages of Carleon are incapable of tapping its full potential, but that can change.
Please collect Dark Quartz. I know how to cleanse its power and put it to good use.
I'll use their power to help you. My magic scrolls can show me how to use it.

Fracture Prevention
This is good. Bone fractures can be a real risk for you skeletons.
With bone density like this, you could even stand against siege engines.
